The Cuba High School staff has selected Maggi Scharping as the January Senior of the Month. For this honor, she received a fifty-dollar gift card from program sponsor MidAmerica National Bank.
Scharping is the daughter of Kevin and Jacki Scharping of Cuba, Illinois. While in high school, she has been a member of the softball team, art club, and yearbook. She has also given pitching lessons to members of the community. Her future plans include attending Western Illinois University and majoring in speech pathology to someday work in private practice.
Seniors of the Month are selected for their academic performance as well as their leadership and citizenship qualities.
