The Cuba High School staff has selected Dawson Shields as the October Senior of the Month. For this honor, he received a fifty-dollar gift card from program sponsor MidAmerica National Bank.
Shields is the son of Terry and Rachel Shields of Cuba, Illinois. While in high school, he has been involved in the football and track programs. After high school, he plans to attend a trade school but is still undecided about his specialty.
Seniors of the Month are selected for their academic performance as well as their leadership and citizenship qualities.
