Each month our district will honor a certified and support staff member at each building for our "Champions of Education" monthly award. The Champions of Education Award recognizes employees who consistently go above and beyond to make a positive difference for students, colleagues, and the Cuba CUSD #3 communities. We are proud to share that 1974 Cuba High School graduate and former Cuba teacher Jane (Widger) Fulton will be inducted into the Illinois State University Athletics Hall of Fame!
Jane’s sports journey started right here in our district—organized sports were first introduced at Cuba High School during her senior year! She went on to make an impact at Illinois State University as a longtime athletics administrator and director of the Karin L. Bone Athletics Study Center.
Jane is being honored with ISU's Campbell "Stretch" Miller Award, which celebrates individuals whose service behind the scenes was vital to the athletic program's success.
The induction will take place on Saturday, October 24 with a breakfast, parade and honor during halftime of the football game.
