Please see the following update from the CUSD #3 Transportation Department for Wednesday, January 28th.
Due to lingering road conditions in several areas, please note the following:
Bus Route Status
Bus 6 & Bus 8: Will operate on Emergency Snow Routes for both the morning and afternoon.
Bus 2: Will be on its Normal Route, with the exception of a few specific stops (affected families will be contacted if necessary).
Bus 4: Will be on its Normal Route, with the exception of a few specific stops (affected families will be contacted if necessary). Please note: any pickups on Bus 4 scheduled prior to 7:00 a.m. may run up
to 10 minutes late.
While the thermometer may show slightly higher numbers in the morning, the "feels like" temperature will be near -1°F around 6:00/7:00 a.m. These morning temperatures are dangerously low. Please ensure students are bundled up in heavy coats, hats, gloves, and insulated footwear.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate these winter conditions.

Most of our district road conditions have improved, although there are still a handful of slick spots/areas. All buses will run their regular routes Thursday, January 29th and Friday, January 30th. Route drivers will contact individual families if the deem specific roads/areas to not be safe. Once again we would like to thank the Road Commissioners and their crews for their continued efforts to keep our roads safe as well as our Transportation Department and Bus Drivers as they transport our students to and from school safely.

CUSD#3 WILL be in session Tuesday, January 27th, however buses will be on EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES tomorrow morning and afternoon. After a thorough assessment of road conditions this afternoon, we still have many country roads and side streets, especially in shaded areas, that are very slick and snow-covered. Even with a high of 13 to 14 degrees around 6:00/7:00 a.m., morning temperatures will continue to be dangerously low. Please ensure students are bundled up in heavy coats, hats and gloves, and insulated footwear. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these winter conditions safely. Our top priority is the safety of our students and drivers.
