Congratulations to our 7th and 8th Grade LVC Miners Girls Track teams! They captured the Sectional Championship at both levels in the IESA 3A Sectional track meet at Farmington today!!

Busy day on the diamonds today as the NFW HS Softball team has their final home game @ 4:30 in Fairview vs BPC, there will be a senior ceremony prior to the game to celebrate the senior class Thank you seniors & good luck Cats! In Cuba the LVC baseball team will take on Beardstown at 4:30 in their final home game of the season as well. Good luck Miners! Regionals begin next week for both teams who have had very nice seasons!
The LVC Jr. High Track team wrapped up their regular season this week. The boys and girls teams recorded many personal bests and won numerous awards.
The LVC 8th Grade girls were Little Prairieland Conference Champions, Jimmy Newell Memorial Invitational Champions, and Ingersoll Invitational Champs.
The LVC 7th Grade girls were Big 5 Conference Champions, Little Prairieland Conference Champions, Jimmy Newell Memorial Invitational Champions, Fulton County Champions, and Ingersoll Invite Champs.
Catch them in action as they compete in the IESA Sectional Meet at Farmington High School on Saturday, May 11 at 9:00 a.m. Good Luck & Go Miners!
The LVC Vars/JV Baseball games on Sat 11th originally scheduled in Cuba vs R/W will now be @ & vs Monmouth United 10am instead.

Thank you Hunter Hahn for coming and speaking to the Bass Fishing team. Hunter is a Cuba alumni. He spoke to them about starting out working for another person's charters. Then he spoke about having one of the most successful charter businesses in Alaska. He was telling them that hard work does pay off.
Reminder! School will not be in session on Friday, May 10th or Friday May 17th. The last day of student attendance is Wednesday, May 22nd and school will dismiss for summer break at 2:00pm.

Cuba Elementary Sports Day has been POSTPONED to Monday May 6th...with that unexpected storm hitting us it is just going to not work out as the track is already a lake & there is more on the way overnight. Hopefully the weather is nice like it shows (as of now) for Monday!
Today at 4:20 prior to their game vs Atown in Cuba will be senior day for the LVC
baseball team...what a great group of 9 young men who have guided this new co-op for the past 2 years in such a great direction. 41-10 record so far, Regional Championship last year, & have represented the Miners well both on & off the field. Very proud of this group & hopefully more accomplishments yet to come! Thank you seniors, you will be greatly missed next year!

The LVC HS track meet @ Eureka has been moved from Friday 26th to Thurs 25th...A Jr High track meet has been added on Saturday 27th @ Mason City 9am.
