Due to the continued increase of positive COVID cases within our high school community, beginning on April 12th Cuba High School grades 9-12 will be put into a 2 week period of remote learning. As there are currently no or few positive cases at the middle and elementary schools, those buildings (grades Pre-K through 8th grade) will continue with in person learning at this time. Our hope is that this pause of in-person learning will slow the spread at the high school. Although Cuba High School will be in a period of remote learning on April 13th, we still plan to administer the SAT to the junior class in person as planned. We can safely accommodate those students who need to take this important assessment. For those students unable to attend in person due to being quarantined, we will have a make-up administration of the SAT on April 27th.
Due to a recent significant increase in COVID positive cases within our school community, beginning on April 8th Cuba Schools will be suspending all extracurricular activities through April 21st. During these 2 weeks, no practices or contests will take place as we monitor the health of our student community. At this time we will continue with our current 8am-12pm blended schedule, but may have to go to a full remote schedule if cases continue to increase.
