Due to weather concerns, the HS Football Game today will not be played this morning. They can't due to homecoming dance and facility push the time back from what we had it. Please let as many people know as possible. I am working with them to potentially try to make this up on Monday.
Junior High Football game for Sat.9/28 at West Central is canceled. Also no JH Football practice tonight 9/27.
Tentatively, as of 8:30am, the HS Football game will be played on Sat. at 10:30am @ Aurora Christian HS. Bus leaves Cuba HS at 6am. Our opponent is still working on getting game officials for Sat. morning.
HS Football Game on Friday 9-27 will not be played on Friday night due to field and weather concerns up in Elgin, IL. Further information about exact Sat. morning game time, bus time, and potential location adjustment will come as soon as everything is finalized.
Reminder that today Wednesday, September 25th is fundraiser pick-up. It will take place in the cafeteria from 3:00 - 5:30. If you have any questions, feel free to call the elementary office at 785-8054.
JV Football game tonight has been canceled. Varsity game will still start at 7:30pm at Valley.
All pre-k students will attend the am session. Afternoon pre-k kids need to report at 8:00 am. All pre-k students will then dismiss at noon.
This is a reminder that there is a 12:00 dismissal Friday, September 20th. There will be no lunch served for students.
Reminder next week HS Football game is on Friday 9-27, and NOT 9-28 as originally scheduled. Game time for Friday is also now 7:30pm. Bus will leave Cuba at 1:30pm.

Just a reminder, the homecoming parade begins at 2:00 on Friday. Elementary school kids can be picked up anytime after 1:00. When picking up, please go directly to their classroom and sign them out.
Attention parents! All middle and senior high school students and staff will be out of the building tomorrow morning from 9am to 11:15am to attend the homecoming pep assembly at Spoon River Valley High School.
The Homecoming court will be recognized before the football game on Saturday. All members of the court should meet Mrs. Postin by the scoreboard at 12:45 pm.
JH Football on 9/10 will only be a varsity game. NO JV. Game at 5:30 in Beardstown.
Please join us for our 2nd annual Homecoming Kick-Off event on Saturday, September 7. The evening will begin with a Powder Puff football game at 6:00 pm followed by an Iron Man volleyball game in the gym. The Homecoming royalty will be announced between games. Admission is $1 for students/children, $2 for adults. Also, the following activities will be going on during the games:

Sophomore Class - raffle/bake sale
Senior Class - pie in the face

Don't forget, Cuba schools will begin our regular 3pm dismissal schedule starting Tuesday, September 3rd.
School pictures are this week. Tuesday,Sept. 3rd at the High School, and Wed, Sept. 4th at the elementary school.Students and staff will get their picture taken for the yearbook and school id's. Picture packets were sent home with students and are available in the school office.
Golf match on Monday Sept. 2 is canceled.
The Varsity Football game on Sept. 28th has been moved to Sept. 27th @ 7pm.
